'Wow… just wow!'

Wow… just wow! This book is too much. It is based on and narrated by 16 year old Hazel Grace Lancaster. Just your average teenager, who happens to have lung cancer, no biggie.

Seeing as she doesn't really socialise with other people and was pulled out of school at 13, she is diagnosed with clinical depression resulting in her joining a cancer support group where she meets him, the gorgeous Augustus Waters. And no, he is not a self pitying vampire or a werewolf in disguise. He is also an average teenager, but he has had cancer before and possesses only one leg, again no biggie.

I won't tell you anymore about the plot except that they share a love for a book called An Imperial Affliction and this takes them on an emotional journey which you need to mentally prepare yourself for if you're going to read this book because it's mind-blowing!

Being a girl, I am puzzled on how a guy managed to write a book from a 16 year old girl's perspective and get it right. The way he described Augustus made a very tight knot in my stomach. And he wrote some very personal but hilarious things about the way girls feel about guys. I would describe myself as in love after having read this book because… well, you'll see what I mean if you read it.

All in all… wow!!!
