James DeVries Presents New Novel, ‘Beyond Duty’

Written By Unknown on Friday, July 19, 2013 | 6:02 AM

Salem, OR (PRWEB) July 19, 2013 - In his latest book, “Beyond Duty” (published by iUniverse), author James DeVries returns to his character Jeff Lacy, placing him in extraordinary circumstances and allowing his heroism to shine. “I hope,” DeVries says, “to show the general public that not all military and civilian assignments are safe and clean.”

Jeff Lacy has no particular or special skills, but the circumstances in which he finds himself encourage him to learn some. Jeff’s military and civilian assignments themselves are not so interesting, but due to an interesting situation, Jeff becomes a good friend of the department head at the COMSUBLANT Intelligence Department, who takes Jeff under his wing and uses him on special assignments.

Following Jeff’s retirement from the Navy, he ends up working for the CIA. Some of those interesting assignments are presented in this book.
