A poem by site member Znk025 about the language movement in Bangladesh in 1952, commemorating those who lost their lives protesting
The day when the treacherous sound of bullets
Disappears like magic
When the earth and atmosphere
Doesn’t seem so tragic
The day when women and children
Live out of cold fear
Of losing fathers, brothers, husbands, sons
That they hold so dear
