A controversial, powerful and wildly lauded teen book about rape is being made for the small screen, and author Louise O’Neill is co-writing the script

Asking For It, one of the most powerful, painful, controversial and important teen books ever published, is being made for TV, and author Louise O’Neill is going to be heavily involved as co-writer of the script.

Asking For It tells the story of Emma, an 18 year old girl who is raped by people she knows – and reveals the life-shattering impact of sexual abuse, rape and how victims are treated.
