Piling on to their many accomplishments over the years, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and former President Jimmy Carter have both been nominated for Grammy Awards.
The Democrats were each nominated Friday for awards in the category of "Best Spoken Word Album." The category includes works of poetry, audio books and storytelling. Carter and Warren are being nominated for their books, "A Call to Action" and "A Fighting Chance," respectively.
Also nominated in the category were actor James Franco, the late Joan Rivers, director John Waters and singer Gloria Gaynor.
Carter was previously nominated in 2007 for his book "Our Endangered Values: America's Moral Crisis," and tied for the award with Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee. President Barack Obama won the award twice while serving as a senator, and former President Bill Clinton won the award in 2005.
Former Sens. Everett Dirksen (R-Ill.) and Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.), and current Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) have also received the Grammy Award in the same category.
