• David Walsh's Lance Armstrong exposé also nominated
• Winner of £25,000 award to be announced on 27 November
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been shortlisted for the William Hill sports book of the year award. The Sweden striker's autobiography, I Am Zlatan Ibrahimovic, written with the journalist and author David Lagercrantz and translated into English by Ruth Urbom, tells the story of his life as a youngster in poverty through to his career success.
The Paris Saint-Germain player would become the first active player to land the award, which comes with a £25,000 prize, should he take it when the winner is announced on 27 November.
Also shortlisted is the Sunday Times journalist David Walsh, a key figure in exposing doping offenders in cycling, for his book Seven Deadly Sins: My Pursuit of Lance Armstrong.
