The Witch of Turlingham Academy by Ellie Boswell

'Once you've started reading this book, you just can't put it down!'

I don't think this book was really for my age-group, I think it would be better for 10 or 11-year-olds. It had lots of things that my age shouldn't really know about. Sophie's granny was a bit freaky; and mummy didn't like all the boy action!

I loved this book though. I loved the way Ellie Boswell described her characters. Once you've started reading this book, you just can't put it down! Sophie is a really nice character, though I got a bit confused about who was who among her friends, and wasn't always sure which one was talking.

I was interested in the witchcraft, and that witches aren't always bad.
