'I didn't particularly enjoy this book, but that is just because it is not my type of book'

The novel Ibarajo Road by Harry Allen is set in Africa. Charlie and his mates decide to go and have a crazy night while his parents are away. Unfortunately, things do not quite go to plan and someone ends up getting hurt.

The principal of Charlie's school is going to expel him and Guppy, but since it is their last year he gives them work to do at home and tells them they must do something to redeem themselves. Charlie and Guppy decide to go and help out at a local refuge for anyone in need of help. At first things run smoothly, but then something happens at the church over the road. After that, things change drastically for Charlie.

I found this book quite slow going. I think this book would have been better if it hadn't been quite so long. I didn't particularly enjoy this book, but that is just because it is not my type of book - I would say this is a sort of mystery perhaps? I'm not too sure.

I would recommend this book to anyone who just likes something a bit different. This book was moving in places and showed a glimpse of life in Africa. This was a great book and I hope people pick it up and read it!
