Seamus Heaney left us with 'Don't be afraid'. Tell us your ideal last words – or the best that you have heard

Seamus Heaney's last words were eloquent. As told by his son, Michael, at a requiem mass in Dublin yesterday, his message, in the form of a text to his wife, read "Noli timere" – Latin for "Don't be afraid."

Not everyone leaves a lasting impression with their final words, but there have certainly been some wonderful lines recorded through the ages. "This is the last of Earth! I am content" said John Quincy Adams, and Bob Marley reportedly left his son Ziggy this advice: "Money can't buy life."

What memorable final words have you heard, and what would you like your last words to be?
