'I have read some brilliant books this year, but I've got to say this one rises to the top'

I have read some brilliant books this year, but I've got to say this one rises to the top. It is a heart warming story about a girl and a boy who just want normal but whose lives are far from normal.

They both desperately want to know something that they will only know if they know what's in their files: Echo wants to remember what happened the night her mother tried to kill her and Noah wants to know the name and address of his brothers' foster parents. Together they make a plan to get those files.

During all of this, Echo is tutoring Noah, and Isaiah (Noah's best friend) is fixing Aries (Echo's dead brother's) car, as they are spending so much time together they can't deny their growing feelings towards each other.

This book isn't just about growing up, it's about so much more: loss and friendship, but most of all love.
