'This is such an exciting and gripping story that my eyes couldn't leave the pages for even a second'.

Gamer by Chris Bradford is an action-packed fiction novel that takes you forward in time to a world where combat video games are so real that they hurt.

It is easy to connect with the emotions of the star of the book - Scott - when he is left on the streets after his parents are killed by a lethal fever in 2030. After struggling to survive on dumpbin scraps for three years, he is thrilled at the chance to change his life by becoming a game tester for VK (Virtual Kombat). However, soon the orphan home starts to feel more like a prison than the filthy streets, and when his close friend Kat-ana disappears without a word, Scott is suddenly sure that Virtual Kombat is more than just a game...

This is such an exciting and gripping story that my eyes couldn't leave the pages for even a second. You are really missing out if you do not read this novel as it is the complete action adventure for anyone up to the age of 12!!
