Shackleton and New York books win School Library Association non-fiction prize

The story of Shackleton’s journey across the Antarctic and a pop-up book about New York are celebrated in non-fiction awards chosen by both librarians and young readers

The School Library Association (SLA) information book prize honours the best non-fiction books for children. One set of winners is chosen by judges including librarians, and a children’s choice award is chosen by young readers in schools, libraries, book groups and reading groups.
