Cadence is the eldest granddaughter of the very wealthy Sinclair family. On the island where Grandad Tippers’s three daughters visit every summer, there are four houses for Grandad Tipper and Grandma Tipper and their three daughters.

The Sinclairs’ lives are filled with tragedies that affect the way they think. As a result, Cadence makes a friendship group called the ‘Liars’, along with Johnny and Mirren, who are related by blood to Cadence, and Gat Patil, the outsider.
