‘I really enjoyed the concept, and the plot was very captivating’

Red Queen is set in a world where the Silvers (people with silver blood) have abilities, and use this power as an excuse to treat the Reds (normal people) like slaves. Reds are forced to carry out the Silvers’ bidding, forced to live a life with the constant fear of conscription as soon as they are 18 and without a job.

Mare, unemployed, 17, and a good pickpocket, has to live in her sister Gisa’s shadow. Her family, who don’t accept her pickpocketing even though they need it to survive, are ashamed of her, but she still cares for them deeply, and never stops trying to save them.
