An Earthquake. That is how this all started. An earthquake that triggered something inside us to switch, to unleash the darkness that we buried deep inside. The dark thoughts that we push away, brush aside and pretend we never hear. They take over, worming their way inside our heads and filling our minds with dark thoughts, thoughts in the form of voices. These voices become louder, stronger until they take over completely, but there is nothing you can do to stop them. They change you; make you completely unrecognizable, except for your appearance. You are no longer yourself, but you still look the same. But then, even that is compromised. Black veins in the eyes – if you see them, run. There is nothing to do except run. You cannot trust anyone, not even yourself.

Teenagers Mason, Clementine, Aries and Michael have survived these deadly quakes, and have not been turned crazy, but it’s not over yet. Trying to navigate a safe path in this new world is far from easy. Battling the crazy killers is not the only thing they have to compete with. With the lack of food and the prospect of yet more earthquakes, will the teens is able to survive? Will they be able to find their family or friends? Who can they trust? Can they even trust themselves?
