‘This was the funniest book I’ve ever read, even funnier than Mr Gum’

Everyone hated Percival T Duckholm, the prime minister of England. He sacked lots of people and spoiled the fun for everyone by closing the parks down. He was one of the most disliked people in the whole land.

But one day, when the prime minister announced that he was closing Joe’s local park, Joe was horrified. He couldn’t let this happen. Joe insults Percival T Duckholm by saying “shut up you great bumbling warthog” and suddenly everyone wants Joe as prime minister. Joe invents lots of silly laws so that everyone enjoys themselves, like banana-shaped buses, fancy dress Fridays but on a Thursday, and cats in hats!
