Bush book: Iraq war not an attempt 'to finish what my father had begun'

George W Bush calls the book a personal portrait of the elder Bushs presidency and includes personal anecdotes from the time period

George W Bush has said he was not trying to finish what my father had begun, as some have suggested when he went to war in Iraq.

Bush makes the claim in a new book about George HW Bush, 41: A Portrait of My Father, which is scheduled to hit shelves on Tuesday. On that day the two presidents will make a rare joint appearance at the elder Bushs presidential library in College Station, Texas.
