For a little while, it looked like we got closure on the Neverland story arc on "Once Upon a Time," complete with a happy ending. But it didn't last very long. Regina managed to get Henry's heart back from Peter Pan and restore it to her son. Then, Rumplestiltskin trapped Peter Pan in a box -- but what was that thing with Pan and Henry's eyes moments before Pan was trapped?
Later, with the Lost Boys and Wendy on Hook's pirate ship and on their way home, Henry confronted Pan's most loyal Lost Boy. "No matter what those other traitors due, I’m on Pan’s side. And Pan’s side only," the Lost Boy told "Henry."
And so, "Henry" revealed that he actually was Pan. "Peter Pan never fails," he said. "He can’t be stopped, even when they think he’s defeated. When they think they’ve won. He finds a way."
Leanne Aguilera of E! Online wrote that "Pan used his last bit of magic to switch his soul with Henry's and no one knows that it was actually Henry that is now trapped in Pandora's Box.” That led Hollywood Life's Andy Swift to speculate that "returning to Storybrooke is going to suck.”
"Once Upon a Time" continues Sundays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
