'If you want to be the next Sherlock Holmes it's a must read'
These books aren't as well know as Alex Rider, but are by the same author. In this series of adventures, which includes: I Know What You Did Last Wednesday, Public Enemy Number 2, South by South East, The Falcons Malteser, The Blurred Man and finally The French Confection.
Tim Diamond is the worlds worst detective and gets into all sorts off trouble with his little brother Nick (who usually solves all the crimes himself). the two police men Snape (the brains of the operation) and Boyal (the fists of the operation) help Nick to solve the crimes, even though they both hate him.
These books are all about solving puzzles and awesome deaths. If you want to be the next Sherlock Holmes it's a must read. I recommend this to 10+ for the violence and competiveness. This series on average is about 220 odd pages and has fairly big writing.
