'I like this book because it is full of adventure (and lizards!)'

This book is about a boy who goes to a correction school for something he actually didn't do. There he has to dig holes every day to find a treasure. It's in a desert where this boy doesn't get a lot of water a day.

I like this book because it is full of adventure (and lizards!). I also like it because by the end of the book the boy with his friend run away to the open desert, find a mountain, live there for two weeks with water from mud and onions, until they finally decide to go back (they couldn't live so miserably like that on a mountain).
