Canadian author Alice Munro won the 2013 Nobel Prize For Literature on Thursday.
The prize, which is awarded by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in Stockholm, is given to "the person who shall have produced in the field of literature the most outstanding work in an ideal direction."
