Fans of "Castle" have been wondering how this storyline, with Beckett finally working her dream job in Washington DC, was going to play out? How could she possibly stay there without irrevocably changing the show? Well, it may just be that DC isn't as good a fit for her as she'd hoped. Viewers got their first hint of this when she found out that the Secretary of Defense was hiding information to protect himself.
“There’s going to be an investigation at least, right?" Beckett asked
“You want everything to be black or white. I get it," McCord told her. "But in this town, it rarely is. And to do this job, you have to make peace with that.”
Can she make peace with all the gray areas of crime and politics? TV Fanatic's Christine Orlando doesn't think she can survive in that world for long. Over at Buddy TV, Morgan Glennon is hoping this will mark a return to New York in the coming weeks. "Adding together Beckett's strong quest for the truth and the strain long distance will put on her relationship with Castle, I don't think it will be long until the show returns her back to share desk space with Ryan and Esposito.”
For now, Beckett remains in DC on "Castle," Monday nights at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
