Evenell Sanders Turns Life’s Hardships into Poetry

(PRWEB) July 17, 2013 - NEWTON, Miss. - In her debut book of poetry and song, “My Life Experiences: From Having Cancer to Finding Out God Is the Answer—A Little Bit of It All” (published by iUniverse), Evenell Sanders hopes to bring comfort and hope to other people going through death and sickness.

Sander’s poetry comes from the hardships she faced. In one week, she lost her father and then her brother, and the following year, she went through a second divorce. In 2006, she was diagnosed with lung cancer. Sanders kept her hope and faith by praying and reading the Bible.

An excerpt from the poem, “Let Me Tell You”:

“Let me tell you how good Jesus has been to me.

He picked me up out of the lost and found.

He healed me when I was sick and down.

He turned my life clean around

He blessed me in the nick of time and restored my life with peace of mind.”

“The book is something everyone can relate to,” says Sanders, “and it can help them if they take heed to it not to make the same mistakes I’ve made.”
